kat primeau as merce

Mercé – LEAD VOCALS/Producer (Kat Primeau): originally from the birthplace of Rock n’ Roll (Cleveland, OH, duh), Kat’s been jamming on stage since the tender age of 8. Co-writer of such hits as 2012: The Musical and Sunday, Huh?, she currently finds inspiration in her new hometown of Los Angeles and her place of part-time funployment, historic EastWest Recording Studios. Kat’s producer creds include Top 5 Pick of the Fringe at 2008’s Prague Festival, “Hallucinogenic Toreador: a DaDa Exploration” with Limehouse Theatre, as well as many others with her old company at Ohio U, Up in Arms. A Comedy Mentor with improv outreach non-profit Laughter for a Change, she covers the social theatre beat in her monthly column, The Advok@ on www.bitter-lemons.com. She occasionally performs with the group SAG (who she hears is a really big deal in LA) – a full list of credits is available on her website.

Rachel – GUITAR & TAMBOURINE (Katherine Skelton):

katherine skelton

After rocking out in Ohio for the past twenty some years, Katherine is stoked to have relocated to Los Angeles.  She can’t think of a better way to begin her time here in Hollyweird than by reuniting with her favorite dirtie blondes.  No stranger to Fringe-ing, she and Mercé (Kat) traveled to Prague in 2008 with Limehouse Theatre, where Katherine acted in “Hallucinogenic Toreador: a DaDa Exploration.”   A “Top 5 Pick of the Fringe,” the show went on to run in Athens, OH, and Dallas, TX.  Katherine spent last year in Orlando, FL, teaching and acting at the Orlando Shakespeare Theater.  She has spent two summers jammin as a Company Member at the Monomoy Theater (Chatham, Mass) where she was even lucky enough to act alongside Julie Harris.  When not acting or recording with GirlBand, Katherine spends her time teaching acting camps around LA, helping kids find their inner rock stars.  Full resume available at www.Katherineskelton.com.

erin boyes

Lindy – BASS (Erin Boyes): Erin was born in Vancouver, BC, and moved to Delaware at the ripe ‘ol age of 5. She studied acting in Philadelphia and New York then moved back to Vancouver, BC, to study Psychology at Simon Fraser University while also pursuing her acting career. Erin just made the big leap to Los Angeles and is rockin’ and a rollin’ with her new Girl Band. She’s been fortunate enough to have studied in and worked on Film, TV, and Theatre projects of various styles and in many different locations. What interests Erin more than anything in her work is being able to break the mold of small and sweet. Through her work in Soylent Red (which won Best Death and Viewers Choice) and Afterbirth, she got a taste for the element of surprise. Pushing the limits further was her work on the stage in the Vancouver Premiere of Adam Rapp’s Off- Broadway smash RED LIGHT WINTER. Trying another direction, Erin produced and starred in the short film NOMANSLAND and looks forward to soon producing a short film inspired by the play Girl Band In The Men’s Room. She is grateful to everyone that has worked with her, and looks forward to the work ahead! More info at her website.

Murphy – DRUMS (Lisa Marie Summerscales): Lisa has been rockin’ in the free world aka Ohio since she was sportin’ LA LIGHTS.  This past summer, Lisa toured across the country to relocate here under the

real lights of Hollywood. So far LA has been a total Gong Show! She has been jammin’ along side of her fellow Dirtie Blondes and taking this town by storm. Lis is stoked to be mixing in her first Fringe and is pumped for the years to follow. Although a newbie to the fringe, Lis is a pro on the stage. Along with graduating with her BFA in performance from the one and only Ohio University, she received the “Most Improved Actress” scholarship as well as the “Fine Arts Ambassador” Scholarship. Lisa’s favorite role to date would have to be Lisa Jones in the “Wonderful World of Dissocia.” She has also been collaborating with Black Box Television here in LA . You may have seen Lisa this year at the VMA’s, where she sported the always-killer Moon Man costume for the red carpet. To see Lisa’s entire resume check her out @ lsummerscales.com. Rock on!
